Our founder, Rose Kirsch, wasn’t just a pioneer in local real estate. She was one of the original visionaries behind what became known as the Metro Real Estate Group.
The Birth of the Metro Real Estate Group
In the early days of real estate in Western New York, most brokerages operated independently, each with limited resources and reach. Rose Kirsch, along with a handful of other like-minded brokers, saw an opportunity to combine forces—not operations. Thus, the Metro Real Estate Group was born, as a collective of independently owned and operated real estate offices that shared a common goal: strength in unity.
This group was never a franchise. Each Metro office remained independent, but by banding together, they were able to:
- Access group advertising rates that would have been out of reach individually
- Share market knowledge and best practices
- Build a recognizable brand name that still holds weight in Western New York real estate today
The Metro name became synonymous with professionalism, collaboration, and community—values that remain at the heart of Metro Kirsch Real Estate to this day.
